The latest Cast update from Anyview adds some much-needed diversity to the game, promising to expand the game's horizons and provide players with a fresh new perspective.
The update features three new playable female characters, one of whom is a mermaid, and adds a lot to the already-existing characters in the game. The update also brings with it a brand-new combat system that makes fighting other players a whole lot more exciting.
The new character, Nelly, is an ‘elven companion' who wields a pickaxe and can control ice and water. While she is undeniably powerful, her icy nature means she is not one to be taken lightly, as her weak point is her heart. As a result, she is the most vulnerable of the new characters to attack and can be defeated without proper preparation. However, players who take the time to craft an effective strategy, involving traps and puzzles, stand a good chance of defeating her. Once she is defeated, the player will obtain a soul for the Dark Lord which can be used to create various items.
Unlike the majority of other fighting games where players remain in permanent combat with each other, ArenaNet broke the cycle with their latest update by introducing what they are calling ‘Action Combat.' In Action Combat, players are able to dodge and parry attacks, execute powerful combos with attacks that pull back the enemy, and utilize various traps and other tactics to bring the fight to their enemies.
As a result, even at close range, a satisfying connection between player and action can be made, providing a more visceral gaming experience and a greater sense of accomplishment when played online.
